New restaurants Kamura Ramen, Thai Sol, Yamaguchi Ramen open in El Paso

The Mark Liu restaurant has opened a new place, Kamura Ramen, aimed at bringing out it as an Asian restaurant serving authentic flavors with a modern touch.

Liu, who came to El Paso when he helped open a crazy crab in 2021, opened a small Sakura Ramen restaurant for the first time in the old bar Yamaguchi Ramen, at 2000 N. Lee Trevino Drive, following F, opposite Hanks High School. The restaurant prospered because students and their families have become frequent customers. Yamaguchi has moved to Zaragoza and now has two locations.

“We started with this one, but now we realized that the location is too small, and we wanted to make improvements on this subject, so we opened this location, which is greater and improved the recipes,” said Liu.

Liu has taken steps to ensure that the new restaurant, at 1505 George Dieter Drive, continued 112, succeeds and maintains his integrity. He hired two New York chefs to lead Jeffery You, a sushi and Xi Chen chief, a Ramen chef.

Unlike many restaurants that have reduced their menus, Kamura Ramen offers a fairly large menu offering dumplings and fried oyster appetizers, a dozen different bowls of ramen, poke, special sushi rollers and traditional Chinese dishes, including TSO general chicken, Kung Pao, beef and moo gai gai.

The menu also includes boba drinks, fresh teas, smoothies, melting snow drinks and specialized drinks.

Liu said that he and his trading partner discussed menu elements and decided that El Paso families needed options.

“The majority of our customers are Hispanic families, and they generally have children. So they may not want the same thing-adults may want ramen, but then children do not. It is therefore good to have a variety,” he said.

Kamura Ramen Review

Dinner with any family member can be fun if you like to share tasty dishes. In the evening, I took my young sons and partner and we decided to get something different each: the chicken of General TSO ($ 12.99), the steame -cooked pork dumplings ($ 10.99), the Xin Sea Ramen Ramen, ($ 16.95), Les Shouttes Tempura Donburi, ($ 12.95) and the fried house with vegetables with vegetables with vegetables with vegetables with vegetables ($ 13.99).

All the dishes were remarkable. Among the tastiest and most complex dishes, there was the spicy ramen of Xin seafood with shrimp, mussels, scallops, kanika, slices cabbage, fish cake, green onions and Itokiri in a light and house spicy chicken broth.

We appreciated the inherent freshness in dishes, rice and fantal vegetables and vegetables with a crunchy tempura and spicy Asian chicken.

Liu said a few years ago that he would not have described El Paso as diversified in terms of ethnic restaurants. And there are still a lot of Mexican restaurants.

But he started to see more ramen and Asian restaurants appear in El Paso and he thinks it’s good for all restaurants. He said he was friendly with many other owners of Asian restaurants in the city.

“We have a

competition with places like noodles and dumplings, and I am actually friends with the owner. And so I just think that it does not matter what extent your food is good, they will not come every day, so yes, you must have different options,” he said.

Liu said he loved the city of El Paso and is himself a gourmet, so he likes more people to be ready to try different types of food in El Paso and that the Chinese community of El Paso tends to support each other.

Here are new Asian restaurants recently opened in El Paso.

Thai Sol brings the taste of Thailand on the east side

Sopapan Magallanez, from Thailand, brought his mother to El Paso a few months ago to help her finalize her menu for his new Thai Sol restaurant. The restaurant is in the Far East El Paso, nestled in a shopping center, at 2720 John Hayes St., Suite 101.

This is the first restaurant company for Magallanez, an enthusiastic young woman who grew up in a family with a food trolley to support each other.

The restaurant menu is easy to read and attractive with photos and a single laminated leaf, front and back. The main dishes include Thai pad, Thai fried rice, PAD see EW, green curry, Tom Yum and sautéed vegetables. Most dishes are a reasonable price from $ 8.99 to $ 10.99.

The rear of the menu has delicious aperitifs such as Thai spring rolls (four for $ 7.99) with noodles of mugbox beans, cabbage, carrots, sautéed together then wrapped in wheat flour and fries and beautiful-maïs. Corn donuts, $ 6.99, are an essential vegan delight – triangular -shaped pancakes of corn and flour seasoned with a Thai seasoning and served with a sweet sauce and Chile.

The restaurant is not easily visible from North Zaragoza Road, so when new customers find the restaurant and work, Magallanez is delighted to welcome you and demonstrate its excellent cooking skills.

We tried various dishes and found them generously served and delicious. Pad Prik 911 was among our favorites. The dish costs $ 10.99 and is a spicy sautéed with mushrooms, broccoli, basil, jalapeño and garlic on a bed of rice. We have added chicken proteins for an additional $ 2.99. The menu has it like a 5 -battery spices dish, but you can let the servers know if you want to reduce heat and make a spice.

If you are in the region, be sure to stop.
